Procedures under general anesthesia are performed in a certified operating room facility.  The special BodyTite applicator is inserted through three one-millimeter incisions in the skin where an internal and external thermometer will protect the patient from burns. The applicator will loosen and liquefy the fat with radiofrequency waves so the fat can be easily suctioned out of the body. The heat used during the fat removal will tighten the skin and connective tissue for immediate skin contraction. BodyTite treatments usually take 30 – 45 minutes per area treated, and multiple sessions may be needed or recommended for ideal results.

Most patients will need to rest at home for 5 – 10 days after their BodyTite treatment. A compression garment should be worn over the treated areas to promote healing while maintaining the new body shape. Some results will be seen immediately, but final results will not be visible for 3 – 6 months as the swelling and inflammation subside.
