What to Expect
Dysport treatment is considered an outpatient procedure and is performed right in the office. After the plastic surgeon determines the correct dosage and ideal spots to inject the candidate, the treatment site will be cleaned and prepped. If a patient is concerned about discomfort, a numbing cream can be applied prior to the injection. Dysport will then be injected into the designated areas with a thin syringe. The entire procedure takes between 30 and 60 minutes to complete. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately, but there could minor swelling and redness afterward. Patients can use a cold compress to alleviate these side effects.
Anticipated Results
Dysport can last 3 – 4 months before another treatment is needed. Since Dysport spreads out more from the initial injection site, patients can expect a large number of wrinkles and lines to be diminished rather quickly.
